Joana Jabson is a PhD student at the Centre for Criminology and Sociolegal Studies at the University of Toronto. Joana completed her Honours B.A. at the University of Toronto in Criminology and Sociolegal Studies, and finished her Masters of Public Policy, Administration and Law, and Graduate Diploma in Justice System Administration at York University. Joana’s research interests focus on punishment, criminality, incarceration, mental illness and public policy. More specifically, understanding the intersection between mental illness, housing insecurity and incarceration.
